I'm unclear on the problem. You're calling the Grid's SetFocus() from a button Click()? And it's not working? What does this have to do with the limitation on calling SetFocus() which would seem to not apply?

BTW, putting the SetFocus() in a control's LostFocus() can work quite well in lieu of using the Valid().
