In the Print When options for each field there is a 'Remove Line when blank' option. If you switch that on for all the fields that could be blank then the empty lines will be ignored. If you have headings for the fields you will need to set the label's 'Print only when expression is true' test to print only when the field is not empty. You will also need to switch on the label's 'Remove Line when blank' option. This will still leave any vertical white space between lines but should give some improvement.
>I have a form with a long detail band. It can be up to about 4 inches long. Most times, many of the lines are blank and are set not to print. When the form run, if there is not enough space to include a full band at the bottom of the page, the band is printed on the next page. This leaves three or more inches of blank space at the bottom of each page. Is there some way to only skip to a new page if the actula data that will be in the band will not fit on the page. I want to keep the detail band together on a page, but I don't want to waste so much space at the bottom.

>This report should only be about 250 pages long and not it is printing just over 400 pages.
