Let me ask it another way - what could have occurred that would allow me to ping a web address but not to browse to it? Security settings in IE look normal - but I'll try installing Opera or something to make sure.
Router configuration is not blocking anything FROM that workstation, but I updated the firmware anyway.

>>My Win2K server (which I use as a web application staging server) is suddenly unable to browse the internet and many applications are not running (or running very slowly) which I THINK is a consequence of this connectivity problem. It also takes forever to boot.

>>The odd thing is, you can connect from the internet to browse the hosted web sites and applications, and I can connect using RDP and VNC - so incoming traffic seems OK.

>>I can't bring up 'network connections' so it's hard to diagnose - but I can't imagine what to check, anyway.

>>Any suggestions? NIC maybe?
