I've got an application which will be compiled and distributed to a large number of users (an electronic survey). They'll be installing it on their computers, completing the survey, copying the files back to disk and returning the data to me.

I've got a number of 'free form' questions for which I'm using memo fields to collect the data. What are your thoughts on the use of them? (I'm using VFP 5.0) I remember in old dBase days we tended to avoid memo fields, but was curious what the thinking was on them these days. Are there any special considerations I should keep in mind?
