i want computer 1 to connect to computer 2 without using the local network. what hardware do i need to do this?

if computer 2 is connected to the local network, is there a way to connect to computer 1 by accessing computer 2?

computer 1 contains critical data, i do not want it to be connected to the network.

if this is possible, how am i going to get data from computer 2 from within foxpro? will the use \\computer2\c\myapp\customer.dbf work?
