You can do it now .. kinda .. you have to create a remote view to the data, then add the view to the data environment of the form. You can drag and drop from there.

Given that the SQl Server is out-of-process vis a vis the WinForm, the bindings aren't trivial although this process might be aided by SQL Server Yukon hosts the .NET CLR. I did try drag and drop from the Data Explorer in the VFP 9 beta, but that functionality wasn't there. I don't know if there any plans to incorporate this when VFP 9 ships.
