During the dotcom bomb I was desperately looking for work and ended up in a gig that was mostly support, so I mostly just read here.

But for the last 8 months I've been working at a place that has several accounting systems they distribute. Lots of maintenance as well as customizations.

They're working on Java versions but the VFP versions will probably be around for 2-3 more years.

So I've got myself a 2 year window to get comfortable with Java, if I want to stay here, or .Net.
