From my form, whenever we'll have a date field, which is a textbox in HTML, we will put a ... button next to it. Clicking on that button will show a calendar. When clicking Ok from that calendar, the value should be returned to the form.

In our case, we control the browser and it's IE4.

However, unless we build our own calendar, which we don't have the available time in the project, we don't have any possibility. At the client site, we verified with Microsoft. Their legal department does not allow us to include the calendar control in another ActiveX.

So, this is why we had to extract the calendar from our ActiveX. We're now forced to CreateObject() or to use another external mecanism.
