Hello;

NT4.0 will sometime take a Very Long time to vaidate a user @ login for a small network, and a PDC can take the longest of all. I believe that it is validating the IP ranges avaliable to the PDC via the subnet mask present on each NIC present on the system. Using an AST ManhattanV 5090 Dual P90 w/144Mb mem, (Dual NIC, one for home net, the other for Internet) the login took ~ 3 - 5 min to complete sometimes, sort of login, go get a soda. The server should have the dual NIC as Win95 does not support this feature. If the system is using RJ45 and not BNC, you should look into utilizing a hub.

Thanks
