You don't need Outlook because CDO for Windows 2000 is a part of OS. There're many different versions of CDO. Don't get confused by that. For details see

BTW, we're using CDO for Windows 2000 to send email from our systems and it's all VFP code around CDO for Windows 2000 COM object.
