>>In addition to the others mentioned, I too have placed a multi-language translation class on the download section ( download #20051 ), called Automated Language Translator. It use the internet, and free language tranlation sites to automatically translate all the text on a Forms, Reports, Labels, and Menus it can locate in a application, and then stores the result in a set of tables for quick translation later. Of course, it is best to proof the resulting translation with someone who knows the language before handing it to the client.

>Hehe, that reminds me of the news-story, of a German city that published a tourism pamphlet. They decided to save the cost of a professional translator, and use a free service instead. Only AFTER printing 7000 copies did they notice that the automatic service had rendered their text useless... and they had to start over again. Of course, they did not take the precaution to have it reviewed.

When I was building the class I noticed that sometimes different site translated the same english word(s) into different variation of the foriegn word(s). It is this reason mention the need for the review.
