It seems that the Error is not on the Append General syntax.
What we are using is the OLE Bound Control using the General Field members.photo) as the controlsource.
If that's exactly what you're doing then something is wrong with either your class libraries, Windows System, or VFP system itself. We encountered it before, its running on the other workstation but not on the other one.
You may try to re-install the Windows OS or VFP system.
Before doing it, since I do not have any idea about VMaxframe (framework), try to work directly on VFP5 and try to make another file with one record in it with field type General, and then try experimenting again on a separate form. Make use of OLE Bound Control as your display area.
