Hi Bonnie,

They have requested browser access; thus, the need for a web-based application and a windows application. Now, I just need to figure out how to provide it without having to write everything twice!

Thanks,

TFISHER

>Well, part of it depends on what you mean by mobile access. Do they want the capability of connecting up to the app from any computer with nothing installed on it? In which case, yes, you need browser-based access. If they simply want to connect "remotely" from their own computer and/or hand-held device, then simply using Web Services would enable you to make that happen. They'd have the app located on their own computer, but it would connect to the server-side stuff (BizObjects and data) either over their LAN or over the Internet. This is probably what you're looking for.

I suggest using WebServices for access to your data and continue to use a WinForm GUI. It can be used the same way then for both the big guys and the little guys.

For those larger agencies that have high speed Internet access and want a web-based application, I want to provide it. For those agencies that aren't there yet, I still need to provide a Windows application. I don't want to have to write two completely different applications -- I want to just change the GUI -- if that is possible.
