What were your own reasons for not wanting Norway to join? What were most Norwegian's reasons? I thought it was mainly because they wanted to protect their fishery and not let other EU nationals fish there.
I suppose that the more Norway's exports consist of oil, the less its economy would be affected by existing EU trade barriers.
According to the CIA World Factbook:
