Which Stardate standard? I seem to recall Stardates were pretty random in the original series. I know the standard in The Next Generation and afterward was based on 40000 + (1000 * years since first TNG season). The rest of the number was more or less random with a sequential order if multiple Stardates were used in the same episode.

Sounds like a fairly simple UDF <g>
