I am very sure that the active total of all of the three items above is much smaller than the number of developers using VFP regularly, so you cannot expect that the "active members" of the community already know all about new versions -- unless you just define active members of the community as those who do any of the above three things.
Don't I WISH that all users of VFP worldwide had FoxTalk subscriptions! :-)

For many others, however, getting something from MS about VFP9 might be the only way they hear about it.
