Someone that's using VFP regularly. To me that implies that such a developer would be looking regularly to find what's going on in the VFP world. It's not enough to use a development tool. You also have to look for everything that can help you become a better developer with that tool. That can be magazines, third party tools, training...

I agree with you but this is nothing new. All new versions of serious software are advertised to their users first. No easier category of potential buyers to reach. To me that should be defined as very basic marketing. The least that can be done. This should'nt be considered proper marketing. Proper marketing should be the steps following.
