Well... when you have nothing but College Football (there are no pro teams around here!), you have to race what you brought to the track. And speaking of tracks!!!! Don't even get started on NASCAR!

There is a semi-pro team over in New Orleans, but until their crazy owner sells them and there is a commitment to win and not just participate, there will never be a draw to them. Only die-hard louisianians can love them.

College Basketball is fun but it is just not that much of a draw - no one gets excited until there are some games won. Like a catch-22 - gotta win to draw the crowds and get the support, and to win you need the crowds and support ($).

They tried hockey here... and it was a dismal failure - I always wondered what they were thinking... I mean it's not like there are any ice-rinks around here - or frozen lakes even!

Soccer... well let's just say that's not very big either - I mean it looks 'cute' and all, but boring!
