When I evaluated this same situation I decided not to do it for the following reasons. First it IS a considerable amount of code. Second, MS has indicated that this feature will be implemented soon (yeah, I know...). Third, we were able to obtain the benefits of using Business Objects by putting the SQL in a stored procedure and having both the MM BO and Reporting Services use that to access the data.
