An excellent book, especially considering that Date and Codd are considered the fathers of relational databases.
>Steve - way back when , I took a class in 'database' that used the book 'An Introduction to Database Systems' by CJ Date. It is NOT a T-SQL book, nor is it what you are asking for. HOWEVER - IMO, if you read this book cover to cover, you can sit in on ANY database system and write code, after wrapping your head around any particular syntactical differences between ansi sql and 'the thing [in this case, T-SQL].
