I used Delphi (Pascal) once on a very small project. It was OK and has some advantages over VFP 3.0. The report writer is one. Report Smith is much better than the current VFP report writer. But, still lags behind the new Crystal Reports. The Delphi development environment is somewhat better to work in than the current VFP. The new VFP 5.0 seems to correct some of these needs, especially the debugger. But each product has its' advantages and disadvantages depending on your needs and your clients needs. I still prefer VFP. I would be like to see a Delphi vs VFP comparison. Maybe some of out other UT members have used Delphi and would offer some comments. It is always a good idea to have more than one tool in your toolbox.
