Hi Steve,

Actually there was a proposal some time ago for having other
developers tools/programing languages in the UT (C++ and Delphi
mainly) but it didn't gained momentum (as Microsofties would
say :)).
I have used a litte of Delphi, and IMHO it has more powerful
coherent OO programing language, since it doesn't have to deal
with legacy x-base language. The exe's Delphi generates
perform pretty well compared to VFP 3.0 (i haven't seen an
application from VFP 5.0 running tough) and seems to have good
connectivy schemas in the client/server version. After looking
the troubles with VFP 3.0 and win32s in win 3.x i think is
a good alternative. Of course ideally we (almost) all want
to develop using 32 bit OS but we know clients just can be
forced that easy to change.
