No problem Craig.

I know it's my problem, but it never would have occurred to me to even assume that the editor could be changed. My conclusion was that if Word was installed it used Word, else it used some internal thing. Even the dialog where I just changed it makes no mention of some other editor, only to use Word or not. Sure, it might follow to most that not using Word required using something else but my assumption on that was a basic Notepad-like option.

I'm hoping that using Outlook's editor will fix my scrolling problem too.

The 'smarter' MS gets the dumber I look.

cheers

>>This "design" does intermittently carry problems with it... for whatever reason Word *sometimes* will not appear when its Taskbar item is clicked. It will do the minimize motion thing but simply will not show. I have to resort to various things to finally get it to appear, only adding frustration with a very sorry product delivery.

>>By the way, it looks like the "by design" conclusion is a **guess**. Did anyone offer a MS document that says so? Like I say, if they consider this "good" design then I disagree. I can't see a single sensible good reason for this.
