Now I'm confused -- you can't use the SDT Extended Table Designer with free tables. When you click on Modify in the Database Explorer, it brings up the VFP Table Designer, then does a validate on the table after you close the Table Designer so it can update the meta data with any changes you've made.

I checked the development logs for 6.1b through 6.1d and can't find any change that would make it work in 6.1c or later (I tested this in 6.1d and it does work) but not 6.1b. So, I must admit that I'm stumped about why it's not working for you.
