If Fox created a true EXE, it could make all the necessary Windows Registry entries as well as register the OCX's. Using a C++ or Delphi EXE would allow you to create an intelligent workstation configuration without running the VFP setup. Overkill for a small company, but rather helpful to the overworked network administrator in many medium sized companies. You put a new workstation in production with the EXE configuration program in the Startup, and you could let it take care of all the tedious installs to the client as well as future upgrades from a server.
