>Yes I do know that ODBC driver supports SQL commands but does not support CREATE DATABASE. So my think was that if a free table is created with the schema of that of the dbc, Insert the 5 records in to it that it has when freshly created and then renamed the dbf as dbc and the fpt as dct would it work ? The dcx would be created on first opening the dbc.

I've never tried but it's not hard to create dbc. With some lowlevel processing you should be able to create a DBC.
