I have an acre lawn so yes, I have a riding lawnmower and even so, the yardwork still takes up the majority of my day. However, for a small area around some bushes and landscaping in my backyard I still use my old manual push lawnmower (doesn't even have an engine in it) and it works fine, it quick, and is much less hassle than trying to maneuver the fancy new riding lawnmower around a small area it was not designed to work for.
