That might even be an understatement.

VFP Advantages:
- Very powerful database operations in one statement, and these are statements that can be generated and modified at runtime.
- Very robust database engine
- Possibly the best package out there for rapidly prototyping and also delivering a high-performance, flexible database product.
Fundamental Weakness:
- Programming language is arcane, arbitrarily conceived, and full of inconsistencies.
