Here's what I think:

if the problem is a bug in the report, you may still see it in 9.

If the problem is something else, you are unlikely to see it at least in SET REPORTB 90. because the window interactions are so different.

I think you would probably *not* see it if you didn't have the second top window, but not sure what the connection is.

I am still not sure about your code for your other top form window (the one that houses the application) and the code that launches the report form command, if they are not the same. (Do they have event code, IOW)

I think, if it were me, I would try taking out the SYSMENU lines to start, do this in a private build for some user who doesn't mind doing a test (or, if you can repro the problem yourself, do it yourself). I can't say why, it's just a gut feeling.

Do you ever see the problem when testing in the full IDE, btw?

One other thing I forgot to ask you: when this occurs, does it drop you into a particular dialog in the Designer, or into the layout window itself?
