LOL. Thanks for the tips. Parting with 40 bucks for a 20-minute ride is hard to do, but the company AmEx should make it much easier <g>.

>In my experience I have always been able to pay with a credit card, so take your plastic and good luck! Oh and I never pre-arrange. There are ALWAYS plenty of cabs to choose from at the airport, eager and waiting to put your plastic to use.

>I spent 6 weeks traveling in Europe, no hotels reserved. Every day was an adventure. Not knowing how it was going to work out made it all the more fun, and gave me a good excuse to practice my high school French.

>On one incident I stayed in a convent in Pisa. Trying to communicate with an Italian nun who had had about as much French as I had in high school. Two of us trying to communicate in a language we both barely knew was a riot. Took her 10 minutes to tell me to answer the phone in the room when she called me.

>I expect you will see lots of foreign things in Vegas, but the language ought to be easier there! <g>

>>Hi Carole,

>>>I am catching a cab, compliments of my company, if anyone wants is going to the Marriot and wants to cab-pool let me know. I am at arriving at 4:48 pm on Alaska Air from Seattle.

>>I'll be arriving Tuesday evening at a different time, but I'm curious: Were you able to pre-arrange that cab with a credit card? I'm assuming cab driver accepts only cash in the car? Is it becoming obvious that I rarely travel <g>?
