I think others responses to you are pretty much in line with my opinion. All you have to do is go to the "VFP Forum", where "VFP Developers" go to discuss "VFP problems/solutions" and look for JVP's participation over the last four years.

If you can't see the pattern of "when" he participated and his general theme, then nothing I say, now, will help you understand where we're coming from. I will make some comments, though, because I respect you as a knowledgeable, interested, but misguided individual.

You might try "listening" between the lines of his (and your)comments and tell us why you guys believe it is your prime responsibility in life to "save" us poor helpless VFP developers??

It's been suggested that we are resistant to change. Do you really believe that VFP is our only accomplishment in life, and we're afraid to move on to something else?

I could list my accomplishments over the last 45 years but nobody would really be interested:( But suffice it to say, I have always chosen the "latest and the greatest gee whiz thing" that came along when "I" made the decision. I didn't need help from you or John then, and I don't need you now.

As I said in other threads.....I have MSDN Universal....I have read Kevin's book....I have studied .NET.....I even read CODE magazine.......I AM NOT IMPRESSED!!!!! If Microsoft designs future operating systems that will not run VFP applications, which I seriously doubt, I will switch to LINUX and do my best to move my clients in the same direction.......just like a little kid that says, "if you don't play by my rules, I'm going to take my ball and go home". OOps, where have I heard that before? :)
