Hello,
The PC in which I primarily use has an OEM license for Win XP Pro. Originally, I installed 2K Pro instead, because that is what we use. So I have an OEM Win XP Pro license that is running Win2k Pro, which is kosher.

Now, I installed VMWare on this PC, and I want to install Windows XP Pro on a virtual machine. Do I need to purchase another license, or can I just use my original license with both copies?

Also, in the future I want to create another virtual machine with Win2K Pro. What are the licensing issues here?

Why doesn't Microsoft just have a spot on it's site where you can send a question about licensing issues and get a response you are sure is correct? I would think that would cut down on unintentional piracy.

TIA!
