In fact, Fox Software ran the first 3 DevCons, all held in Toledo at the Convention Center. (My first DevCon was the last one in Toledo).

When Microsoft bought Fox, they took over and ran the DevCons for a number of years. I'm sure the '92, '93, '95 and '96 DevCons were run by Microsoft, though Advisor was a sponsor in '96.

Advisor took over the planning and organization in '97. I was fairly heavily involved for several years in both speaker and topic selection and in building the schedule (a complex task). Advisor's done it ever since.
