Terry,

I agree that the British M roads are excellent, except perhaps for the M25 parking lot and/or the delightful M6 where it curls under Birmingham with most of the width taken up by road works that seem to consist primarily of huge vehicles left stationary for months with no actual workers in evidence. However, when driving at 90mph I learned that it pays to be able to produce a New Zealand driving license and to be "leaving for home at the weekend" if you prefer ritual scoldings to hefty fines ;-)

Regards

"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us.
