... except that software is DESIGNED to be flexible, to be able to create whatever "tool" is needed.
The hammer analogy gets lots of play but it really is mis-appropriated when trying to disparage a person who elects to stick with VFP at the moment. A software language is not a physical thing and is purposefully DESIGNED to be able to deliver all manner of business "solutions". Business problems are not "nails" and VFP is nowhere close to a "hammer"
