If you click on Security for that dbf(and cdx) and give modify,read,write access to IUSR_(comp name), IWAM_(comp name), and ASPNET, you should have no problem, since all files are on the server. COM+ would not be needed.

>Thank you for your advice. We didn’t have _IWAM user. But after we added it, it didn’t help. We are missing something else.

>Foxpro table My.dbf and DLL that is trying to update it are sitting on the same web server (only in different directories).
>We decided instead of ASPNET account create a user MyUser, who will have all rights to DLL and DBF directories.
>During testing, I logged in to the server as MyUser (mapped the server to F:) and opened My.dbf exclusively:
>USE f:\data\My.dbf IN 0 EXCLUS && OK
>I can browse, but can’t type in anything. In modify structure window it shows as (Read Only).
>If I do exactly the same not remotely from my PC, but going to the server from Remote Desktop and run Foxpro on the server. Then the table can be opened with no Read Only, and there is no problem to update it.

>I hope it might give you better picture to understand the problem we have.
