I think it's very generous of you to devote time and effort into doing this.

I pulled down the app and ran it on my spare desktop (an OLD Pentium with just 64 MB of memory). Obviously, the first-time load takes several seconds because of 'loading' the runtime framework, but so do most programs when I load them on this machine. Subsequent loads are about a second or two.

Even on this old machine with limited memory, I was able to navigate around and load a customer/order and the response time for form drawing and form loading was certainly acceptable.

I realize it's just a demo, but not only have you demonstrated a set of database forms that runs decently on old equipment and fast on newer machines, you've also provided the source code to demonstrate the basics of data binding, data access, etc. I hope others pull down this demo and give it a try.

I have a white paper that I'm posting soon on my website about ways to get started with .NET, and your demo app has given me some ideas about posting similar apps to help people get started with the basics of Winforms, data binding, data access, etc.
