>It remains to be seen whether or not elections will take place in Iraq. Last word from Allawi was that 14 of 18 provinces were secure enough to hold elections. I'm not really good at math, but that's about 39 out of 50 states. Any problem with us just not holding the election on Nov. 2nd in Florida, Texes, Louisianna, Tennessee...?

Everything that hasn't occured "remains to be seen." That is a specious argument. You're also not good at spelling - it's TexAs!<vbg> The election process is moving forward and I'm sure you and Kerry will be VERY disappointed when they occur. Which would you rather, elections or a dictator who uses sarin gas on the population, kills men, women and babies, then has them shoved into mass graves?

Actually, we're very strong, we just can't get anyone to punch "the button." This whole thing would be over if we just nuked the region, went in and took over! (I know that punched YOUR button!)

>Yes, we should look at the results. 20 months after Wolfowitz told Congress we were likely to be welcomed with open arms, 18 months after "Mission Accomplished" was declared, we still don't have a result. Not only that, we have no end in sight.

Well, we DO have results, I didn't say a conclusion, we are making progress. Time will tell how this fleshes out.
