That is a very good point and today many forget the impression of the existance of wmds in IRAQ everyone had in the past...don't forget the Iraqi generals that escaped and reported on their existence as well as Saddam's own son in laws (who were later killed in front of their wives) when they returned to Iraq. There were many 'reliable' sources of information that were used to come to that 'wrong' conclusion. Personally, I am still of the belief that they DID exist but they are now in Syria and Iran.
