Terry;

I could cite a long list of justifications given by our federal administration as to why we attacked Iraq. I am sure you have seen these attempts at rationalization. With different statements having been made by many members of the administration I wonder who is running the show?

Here are a few more points I consider relevant to justify our action in Iraq:

1. For motherhood and Apple pie!
2. To show them the American flag!
3. To bring peace, freedom and democracy to all!
4. To frighten the world! Who is next?

If this keeps up we will have a draft. I would suggest that anyone who supports the war should go immediately and sign up to join the military service. Show how great an American you really are. It is cheap to have an opinion but when that opinion supports killing others I think there is a problem.

My concern is that our nation seems so divided upon this issue – if we can believe the media. I have not met anyone who supports the war in Iraq or our administration. However, if I am to believe Fox and CNN, all good Americans are Republicans, walk the party line, want to conquer the world, aspire to be rich at any cost and have little realization of reality.

Tom
