Hi Dragan,

The NOCPTRANS seems to be a worthwhile option after reading the VFP help; I will give it a go.

The users have a browser window open and select the text to copy using Ctrl-C. They then go to the record in my application with an edit box and paste using Ctrl-V.

Regards...Rex

>>My application is for family history research and there are a lot of web sites on the net with 'text' that can be copied and pasted. I have seen the corruption caused to a memo file when a user selects and pastes a piece of 'text' by looking at the memo using a hex editor. I was hoping there may have been a 'simple' way to clean the text stream before it is saved to the memo in my application.

I've had the first type working with no problems. I've even added the ability to drag and drop text from the webpage into the editbox, also no problems there.
