Many of the people that pick fruit and vegetables in California are American citizens and have been in this country for many generations. Some travel from Texas to California depending upon the time of the year and what crops are ready for picking. Many times this life style involves moving the entire family. Other times the family stays in one place and the older members travel. There are also illegal aliens who perform the same work.
