No no no - creationism teaches a lie - a controvention of the laws of physics. The purpose of teaching creationism is not to provide a basis for understanding. The purpose of teaching creations is to soften you up so that you will be open to the next lie.

Lies like: Jews are not human - therefore we can exterminate them
Lies like: Muslims are not human, therefore we can exterminate them.
Lies like: Christians are less than human - therefore we can exterminate them/

To accept creationism is to deny the technology that makes a computer or MRI work.

Teaching creationism is like saying 2 + 2 is 3. Classic Orwellian technique. And I am not trying to be an elitess snob. You have eyes, you are a geek and you should be a parent before you are a savant of preacher or prophet that may, after much pain, proove to be false. Question your religious elders as you zealously question me - and we will all be safer!

It's a classic Orwellian technique hand has nothing to do with philosophy. You need to study Georger Orwell (1984) and Machiavelle. Everytime I see a bikini clad girls in a beer commercial - I watch that commercial - but I don;t drink beer!

Some people see Dubya - and think god is working through him - by all measure of Christianity - that is heresy - that ius abominable - if you thing a "man" is spoken to by god - then you need to study your bible and quit listening to the preacher or the principal at your private, taxempt religious school.

>Ok, that was better and calmer. We were talking about quality of education and testing, but since this is what you really want to discuss, then my only response would be that it's a matter of choice. You go to public school and learn about evolution and I go and learn about creationism. These are fundamental differences that neither side would ever resolve with the other. It's a lose-lose to try and argue. On the other hand, if we remove that one basic debate from the equation, then we can discuss the quality of education between public and private schools; regardless of religion, or lack thereof.

>>The natural laws, like physics, cannot be denied. A quality education requires teaching the facts of nature, and not a mythological explanation of the world.
>>
>>If we accept one false reason - we will accept any false reasons - nationlism and fascism will usually follow. It will become easy to deny rights, and do harm, in the name of the diety. The darkside of fundalmentalism.
Imagination is more important than knowledge
