I've certainly made masks for some of my icons, but I can't remember what s/w I used, as I have only MS Paint on this 'puter. I probably used Paint Shop Pro (which IS on my other, and CAN make masks), or even possibly ImageEdit, which shipped with my original VFP 3.0.

If you can't manage this, is your problem the white areas in your icons being transparent on the form? What I've done for this in the past is make an all-white bmp the same size as the required image and underlaid the image with this (set as opaque?) on the report. I haven't that system with me to check at the mo' but you can try it.
