Marshall Tito of Yugoslavia held his country together and defied outside influences. When he was no longer in power a struggle for power began and is not yet over. When Yasser Arafat is no longer in a position of power, Palestine could meet a similar fate. Fighting amongst factions within Palestine could last for years. This would only add to the complexity of peace in the area.
