What you need to do is modify report and re-enter the items which are coming out as black 'blocks'. That is the only way I found of recovering from this. You will need to do this in a W95 machine though. I was in the same situation as yourself whereas I created reports in W3.1 then everybody upgraded to W95 and this happened.
