I do find that strange that the Brits are considered to have no sense of humour. I think the US, UK and France have very fun-loving people (the Brits coming 3rd there). We love to poke fun at ourselves, but mainly the French and the Germans. The British sense of humour even extends to the typical british understatement. Even in times of danger. This was to the detrement of one British company of troops in the Korean War. They were wiped out because the American officer receiving a distress call didn't understand that the Britsih officer's "It's a bit sticky here" meant "HELP! We're getting our asses kicked into our craniums!" :-)
