They have mentioned security issues as mostly everything relies on the same server. The correct words are "single points of failure as well as security issues with this design". They also want load balancing servers. And, of course, as said "a more robust database server".
From the phrasing, it seems the IT guy is an MBA as well as a technician. Maybe in future system assays I will use such words - they certainly seem benign, yet meaningful:)
