I am running a VFP 6 application that for the most part works fine. In the invoicing module I have used the report writer to create the invoice header and details of the invoice. The description for each item on the invoice is stored in a memo file. In the detail band of the report writer I have placed the memo file needed. I receive a "string too long to fit" error when the descripton exceeds 4 or 5 lines. I thought that in a memo file this error would not occur. Does this have something to do with the "set memowidth" command? Is the report writer trying to digest the whole memo as 1 string and hence overflowing the 255 character limit? Suggestions appreciated.
