I'm very tired today and can't think well. I have 3 grids: grandfather - father - son. As I move in one of the 2 parent grids the data in its child (and maybe grandchild) grid alter accordingly.

However, once you're in the child or grandchild grid, say scrolling, the parent grid "loses" its place marker pointer. So you get lost as to which parent coming from. Dig?

So I need a way of leaving behind a differently coloured row in a parent grid so the user can follow the "inheritence trail"

But I can't think how to do it. I've tried dynamicbackcolor but the whole grid (bar the selected row!) becomes that colour. I've put a selected =back color on each text box in the grid, and made them selectonentry but, far from changing colour, they don't even selectonentry anyway!

Gi's a hand please

TIA
